Relay for Life

Each year, across the nation, one event brings together entire communities to take part in the fight against cancer. That event is the American Cancer Society Relay for Life. It’s a time and place where people come to celebrate those who have survived cancer, remember those we’ve lost, and fight back against a disease that touches too many lives. For ten years, the Good News Sunday School Class has been actively involved in Relay for Life of Roanoke. The class raises money each year to honor their 13 survivors and to pay tribute to the memory of the 6 deceased members. The Good News Class was able to purchase the letter P in Hope symbolizing the Power of Presbyterian Prayer. The class is grateful for this opportunity to make a difference in our battle against cancer.
