Heifer Project International

www.heifer.org

For over 50 years, Heifer International has provided animals and information on training and care to families around the world as a way to feed themselves and become self-reliant.  Children receive nutritious milk and eggs.  Families earn income for school, health care and better housing.  Communities thrive.  Farmers learn sustainable, environmentally sound agriculture techniques.  The idea is to give families a source of food rather than short-term relief.  These efforts to end hunger and poverty have reached 115 countries
to date.
