Sanctuary

The sanctuary of First Presbyterian Church has been the center of our congregational life since 1929. With its vaulted ceiling and dark woodwork, stained glass windows and magnificent pipe organ, it is a place that promotes a sense of awe when the congregation gathers for worship of the risen Lord. 

With a seating capacity of approximately 525 the sanctuary is a beautiful place for larger weddings (our wedding guide) and memorial services as well as organ concerts and other events that are suitable for such a space.

The Schantz organ that occupies a prominent place in the sanctuary has gone through several additions and renovations over the years. The most recent addition involved MIDI computer enhancement and is proving to be a valuable addition.
