Adult Christian Education

Adult Sunday School
On Sunday mornings at First Pres adults are encouraged to gather for study and fellowship in the Word of God. Each of our classes chooses studies appropriate for their particular interests and needs. Most of the classes have a pattern of shared leadership of teaching in which some of the class members take turns teaching, a pattern which, over the years, has developed a strong core of persons able to lead in discovering the richness of the scriptures as a guide for life. Please visit here to see the list of classes and a brief description.  Attendance in classes is open to everyone; there is no age limit and you are free to move from one group to another as you choose.

Monday Night Bible Study
Every Monday at 6:45 PM a small group of women enjoy a Bible Study and fellowship. They meet in the church parlor and invite other women to join them.

Tuesday Morning Bible Study
This Bible study group meets every Tuesday morning during the school year (except the second Tuesday of each month) from 9:30 AM – 11:30 AM in the church parlor. Our studies are written by Beth Moore, and include homework in a study guide by the author, great class participation as we read Scripture together and discuss our insights on the homework assignments, and a bi-monthly video presentation by Beth, which will recap and expand on the 5 previous lessons.

Presbyterian Women Bible Study
Once a month the Presbyterian Women meet in small groups for Bible Study and fellowship. They form the basis of a network that supports the ministry of caring in our congregation and is supportive in all areas of the church's life.

Sermon Apps
Meeting from 7:00 – 8:00 in the Session Room. The Sermon Apps Bible study is a sermon follow-up discussion where questions generated by the sermon can be considered in greater detail. This study is lead by the Pastor.

Tuesday evening Bible study
This Bible study meets from 6:00 – 7:00 in the Church Library. This study uses a series of resources geared to exploring and challenging application of faith to life.

Thursday evening small group
